Essential Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications prescribed by KVS. Since this is a contractual engagement for 2026-27, the eligibility largely follows the KVS Recruitment Rules 2026.

Qualifications for PGTs (Post Graduate Teachers)

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Two-year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. course of RIE, NCERT OR

    • Master‘s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject.

  • Relaxation: In the absence of a suitable B.Ed. candidates, Post Graduates with 50% marks may be considered.

  • PGT (Computer Science): Candidates need a BE/B.Tech (CS/IT), or M.Sc. (CS)/MCA, or B.Sc. (CS)/BCA with Post Graduate degree, or ‘B’ Level from DOEACC with PG Degree.

Qualifications for TGTs (Trained Graduate Teachers)

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.

  • Subject Combination:

TGT (Hindi) Hindi as a subject in all three years
TGT (English) English as a subject in all three years
TGT (Sanskrit) Sanskrit as a subject in all three years
TGT (Maths) Bachelor’s Degree in Maths with any two of (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, CS, Statistics)
TGT (Science) Bachelor’s Degree in a combination of Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry
TGT (Social Studies) Any two of (History, Geography, Economics, Pol. Science), including either History or Geography
  • B.Ed. & CTET: B.Ed. is mandatory. Candidates must have passed CTET Paper-II (though candidates without CTET may be considered if otherwise eligible as per KVS rules) .

Qualifications for PRTs (Primary Teachers)

  • Essential:

    • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND 2-year D.El.Ed. / 4-year B.El.Ed. / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Ed).

    • Must be qualified in CTET Paper-I.

    • Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English media.

Qualifications for Balvatika Teachers

  • Preferred Qualification:

    • Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks.

    • AND Two Year Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/Pre-school Education (D.E.C.Ed) OR B.Ed. (Nursery) from NCTE-recognized institutions.

  • Relaxed Qualification: If candidates with the above qualification are not available, those with PRT qualifications (D.El.Ed) will be considered.

Qualifications for Other Specialist Posts

Sports Coach Graduation with a Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) or B.P.Ed. Preference for participation in State/National level games.
Music/Dance Coach Senior Secondary + Bachelor’s Degree in Music/Dance OR Diploma in Music/Dance. Experience in classical vocal/dance preferred.
Counsellor B.A./B.Sc. in Psychology with a Diploma in Counselling.
Computer Instructor BE/B.Tech (CS)/BCA/MCA/M.Sc. (CS) OR B.Sc. + PGDCA OR any PG + PGDCA/’O’ Level.
Special Educator Graduation (50%) + Diploma/B.Ed. in Special Education.
Nurse Diploma in Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing.
ATL/Vocational Instructor B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with 1-year experience.

Salary (As per KVS Rules)

The selected candidates will be hired on a contractual/part-time basis. While the specific remuneration is not mentioned in the notification, it will be given as per the KVS Rules for contractual teachers.
